Time has come to enter into KBBG-FM's 32nd Annual Community Parade. This parade marks another milestone, which kicks off the weekend of the annual KBBG-FM Radio-thon Fundraiser. As we celebrate KBBG-FM's 32 years of broadcasting; this year's parade theme is "NEW BEGINNINGS".
KBBG-FM cordially invites businesses and organizations to be a part of this annual event. We are now accepting entry forms along with a non-refundable $25.00 entry fee. If you formerly participated or you are eager to "strut your stuff," now is the time to show the community what you're working with. That's right; we look forward to watching you on Saturday, August 15th. Line up is at 8 a.m. parade will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. (route to be announced).
Entry forms may be picked up at KBBG-FM, 918 Newell Street Waterloo or download a PDF version to print and submit.
Entry fees must accompany your entry form. Forms need to be returned no later than Friday, July 24th. Participants using a car, truck, van or float, must decorate your vehicle displaying your group/organizations name (limit 2 vehicles per group).
This year, KBBG is partnering with Mt. Carmel Lord's Warriors Drill-Team who will hold its annual drill-team exhibition and competition themed, "Marching Against The Darkness" on Saturday, August 15th at 6 p.m. at East High School, 214 High Street Waterloo. All Drill-teams are encouraged to participate. Awards will be given to
first, second and third place winners. To participate in the exhibition/competition, entry forms must be completed by Friday, July 24, 2009.

Parade Policies

The 2009 theme is "NEW BEGINNINGS".
DISTRIBUTION
NO literature or other hand-outs will be distributed during the parade by a parade entry. CANDY WILL BE PERMITTED ONLY.
PARADE FLOW
To cut down on gaps, the maximum stop time allowed is 60 seconds.
POLITICAL ENTRIES
Candidates who are running for office ride as an entry in the main body of the parade and must include the actual candidate.
ANIMALS
Animal entries must be equipped with the necessary "pooper scooper crew" and/or animal diapers. Animal entries accept responsibility for cleaning up Parade route, if necessary.
LODGING
All lodging accommodations are at the participant's expense. A list of possible overnight stays may be provided upon request. KBBG-FM bears NO responsibility regarding lodging. (Due to the change in parade route, participants must arrive fully dressed or make their own arrangements for any uniform changes).
The KBBG-FM Parade Chair in conjunction with the Afro American Community Broadcasting, Inc. Board of Directors reserves the right at anytime to accept or reject any entrant in the parade.
